THE FIFTH ELEMENT Cigarette Dispenser 4 A DAY
Welcome to the fifth element 4-A-DAY Cigarette dispenser webpage!! This whimsical background prop, to me, epitomizes the entire film. It's a farce, a comment on society. Surreal and colorful with it's ridiculously filtered cigarettes.
This is a lifesized replica of of one of my fave props from the movie. It's seen in every scene taking place in Korben's apartment. And now you too can have a 4-A-DAY device on your wall. Enjoy:
**NEW!! The cigarette dispenser is available as DIGITAL FILES for you to print at home!! The group of STL files (lifesized) is $15.00. You can make your own graphics or buy mine for $4.00 and print on paper (includes cigarette artwork you wrap around dowels). You will need hollow plastic tubes for the clear parts which are a standard size available at most plastics suppliers.

STANDARD KIT
DELUXE KIT
The STANDARD KIT comes with
- the 2 main body castings (2 parts) (hollow back to allow electronics)
- decals artwork -vinyl for the displays and paper for the cigarettes. The vinyl decals include the "TO QUIT IS MY GOAL" printed and kiss cut from red SPARKLE VINYL.
- Laser cut acrylic display window
- Laser cut acrylic button plate and backing (5 parts)
**The standard kit does not include the rods needed for making the cigarettes or the clear acrylic hollow tubing needed to display them. These items are available at your local plastics supplier.
THE DELUXE KIT ADDS the 4 acrylic display tubes and 4 tubes for making the cigarettes.
PHYSICAL RESIN MODEL KIT
**this kit is hand rotocast which leaves ample room for electronics installation. You can insert strip LED behind the tubes, a light behind the clock and control buttons.
HOW IT WAS MADE:
Like so many of my projects, I modeled the cig dispenser and engineered a very simple kit to assemble using cast componetns and acrylic rods.
Final Model
I used corel to design the graphics for the cigarette wrappers and dispensor labeling.

3D PRINTING WAS DONE IN A SINGLE DAY
Cleaning the parts and prepping for molding:
One final round of clean-up before molding. My goal was to make the surfaces baby-butt smoooooth!
